プライバシーポリシー・個人情報の取り扱いについて

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Tokyo Branch Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Tokyo Branch (hereinafter, “the Branch”) is committed to the proper handling of customers’ personal information in line with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information (PDPL),” “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (Individual Number Law” and any other applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. The Branch will not use personal information as well as individual number and specific personal information (personal information that has the individual number included in the content) (hereinafter call “personal information etc.”) for the purposes other than its intended purpose without the consent of the customer. We will also make every effort to ensure prompt and sincere responses to any inquiry and/or concern from customers regarding the protection of personal information.

1. Acquisition and use of Personal Information

The Branch may acquire/use personal information to allow for the sound and secure processing of transactions, and to ensure that customers receive the highest level of financial products and services.
Following financial products and services are those handled by the Branch;

(1) Banking business (acceptance of deposits, exchange, currency exchange, loan, foreign exchange, and other incidental business)
(2) Registered financial institution’s business (securities-related transactions, financial instruments intermediary, non-securities OTC derivatives transactions and other business a bank may engage in) and any other business incidental to the registered financial institution’s business
(3) Other business that a bank may engage in and any other business incidental to the above (including business we may be permitted to operate in the future)

The Branch may use customers' personal information for the following purposes with respect to the above financial products and services:

(1) To perform or solicit transactions and related services concerning securities or any other financial products handled by the Branch pursuant to the Banking Law and the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act,
(2) To perform or solicit transactions and related services or make advertisement concerning financial products handled by the Branch or by the affiliates (including products the Branch may be permitted to handle in the future),
(3) To review suitability for solicitation in connection with any of our financial products or services, in light of the laws and regulations, our internal rules and the suitability rule, etc.,
(4) To check customer’s or his/her agent’s personal identification,
(5) To inform or advise customers of performance results and account balances concerning financial products offered to the customers or of seminars, etc,
(6) To perform back-office functions for transactions with customers,
(7) To research or develop financial products and services provided by or to be provided by us by using market research, data analysis or customer surveys,
(8) To properly carry out any outsourcing services, if we are requested by a third party to handle part or all of such third party’s personal information,
(9) To fulfill statutory obligations under the laws and regulations and requirements under the rules of the industry associations,
(10) To contact the customer as deemed necessary for performing our business operations,
(11) For any other purposes to enable us to adequately and smoothly provide our services to the customers,

2. Type of Information to be Acquired

We obtain the following information:
Customer's name, residential address, date of birth, gender, telephone number, email address, company name, job title, location of workplace, type of products or services, transaction amount, contract date, and other information necessary or related to transactions with us.
We shall not obtain sensitive information stipulated in the Guidelines on the Protection of Personal Information in the Financial Sector unless otherwise required by the applicable laws and regulations or provided for in the same guidelines, such as when the customer gives consent to the extent necessary for the performance of business.
We shall also not collect or store any specific personal information, in principle, except for those set forth in the applicable laws and regulations.

3. Personal Information Acquisition Method

To the extent necessary for achievement of the Purpose of Use, the Branch acquires the customer’s personal information from the customer or relevant third parties by appropriate and lawful means, orally, by mail, telephone, etc.

4. Provision of Personal Information

(1) The Branch shall not provide customers’ personal information to the third parties, except as provided by applicable laws.

(2) The Branch shall entrust the handling of all or part of the customer's personal information to the extent necessary for achievement of the Purpose of Use. When outsourcing, necessary and appropriate supervision of the outsourcee shall be conducted.

(3) The Branch shall use your personal information jointly within the following scope:

  • Items of personal data to be used jointly: Items stipulated in the “2. Types of Information to be Acquired” mentioned above.
  • Scope of joint users: Crédit Agricole Group (Crédit Agricole Securities Asia B.V., Tokyo Branch, Crédit Agricole CIB Paris and its branches, Amundi Japan Ltd., etc).
  • Purpose of use by users: to perform full range of financial services and to manage any affiliated risks.
  • The name and address of the person responsible for the management of personal data and the name of the representative: Head of Compliance for Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank Tokyo Branch; 1-9-2 Higashi-Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Benjamin Lamberg, Senior Country Officer and Representative in Japan.

(4) The Branch shall provide customers’ personal information to third parties in foreign countries. Except as otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations, we shall provide necessary information in accordance with the provisions of such laws and regulations and obtain prior consent of the customer to permit provision of such information to the third party in a foreign country.

5. Personal Information Management Method

The Branch shall take appropriate measures to ensure that our customers’ personal information is accurate and up to date. In order to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of our customers’ personal information, we shall implement organizational security management measures, human safety management measures, physical safety management measures, and technical safety management measures. When handling customers’ personal information in foreign countries, we shall appropriately manage such information after assessing the external environment.

6. Request of Disclosure/Correction/Discontinuation from the Customer

When customers wish notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, ceasing utilization or erasing, ceasing provision to a third party, or disclosure of a record of provision to a third party of their own personal information, customers may direct such requests to the inquiries desk referred to hereunder in Article 7. The Branch shall respond in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations after confirming the identity of the customer.

7. Customer Inquiries and Consultations

Customers may direct all applications relating to notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, ceasing utilization or erasing, ceasing provision to a third party, as well as any other inquiries or consultations regarding the handling of personal information to the following desk;

8. Disclosure and Modification

This Privacy Policy is available at the Branch’s reception and on the Branch’s website. The Branch may amend the Policy in accordance with the revision of applicable laws and regulations or any other reasons to the extent stipulated by applicable laws and regulations. Such amended Policy will also be disclosed in the same manner described above.

9. Authorized Personal Information Protection Organization

The Branch is a member of the All Banks Personal Data Protection Council and a special member of Japan Securities Dealers Association, personal data protection organizations authorized by the Japanese Financial Services Agency.
